I worked with local artist Dane Ferguson on a new logo. Dane is also a talented singer/songwriter in Halifax County here in Southern Virginia.
Dane first came up with a circular idea for the art, not understanding that I wanted to skew the yin yang symbol to look like water and a shoreline. He patiently followed through with that, and at the last moment presented an alternative idea as well.
The alternative idea was inspired, as if he knew about my recent canoe trip on the New River. It worked out to be much better than skewing the yin yang symbol, which could NOT be done in a balanced way, as I learned!
So…now I have a beautiful logo which also reminds me of a very special morning.
